Music Meets Medicine Conference June 7-9, 2019 Molloy College, Long Island, NY
The Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine (ISQRMM) is a group of scholars, researchers and practitioners pursuing the studies on the effects of music on the health of the human mind, body and soul. The mission of ISQRMM is to host peer-reviewed conferences that are interdisciplinary in nature and are devoted to the dissemination of new, unpublished research and clinical practice relating to the field of music and medicine.
At our conferences we also have concerts and experiential presentations by Music therapists, Sound Healers and Chinese Medicine practitioners. This Interdisciplinary approach is what makes our conferences unique! ISQRRM has held bi-annual conferences since 2011

Sound and Health in Tradition Chinese Medicine
Dr. Steve Jackowicz examined the historical evolution of East Asian Medicine at Boston University for his doctoral studies. His research has taken him to China and Japan.
CALL FOR PAPERS submission deadline Jan 31, 2019
Presentations may follow any of the following formats: (1) Oral presentation of individual papers (maximum 30 minutes); (2) Panel Presentation composed of several thematically related papers (maximum four papers) with a moderator / discussant. Panels will be allotted 90 minutes total; (3) Experiential Workshops which present methodological approaches to the application of music as medicine (maximum 60 minutes); and (4) Posters to be displayed at the conference accompanied by an open session of 60 minutes (Conference participants will get the opportunity to discuss research with authors). additional info and registration:
