SpiritGrass is a unique collaboration with mandolin jazz and bluegrass artist Eric Miller, Native American flute troubadour Clint Goss, world music vocalist and guitarist Lynn Miller and percussionist extraordinaire, Ron Kravitz. SpiritGrass is a fusion of progressive bluegrass styles with world music from beyond this world. Members of this group are masters in improvisation. The feel ranges from melodic and meditative to upbeat and foot-stomping.
SpiritGrass draws on Eric’s ripping mandolin, mandola and guitar, combined with Clint’s skill on an expansive array of instruments including flutes from Native American, African, Hawaiian, Middle Eastern, and Eastern European cultures. Lynn has a unique style of scat and vocal languages that may both sooth and surprise the listener. She also plays the guitar and Tambora Swar, an Indian stringed instrument. Ron soars on the Hang drum and djembe. All of these unique instruments are blended with a bluegrass backbeat and world rhythms, occasionally slowing down to a meditative trance. http://spiritgrass.com/
