DESCRIPTION:We invite you to our Music Playshop in the Ladies Chapel of the beautiful St Peters Episcopal Church\, 121 Church St\, Phoenixville\, PA.  \nImagine singing and playing in a historic building with beautiful stained glass. The Ladies Chapel is a small section with a piano and chairs in the church. \nAt the Playshop we will develop skills in creating spontaneous music making together\, it’s Devine and fun! \n\n\nDevelop listening skills\nLearn simple improvisational music structures\nOpen the voice\nEnhance your creativity\nHave fun creating music with others\n\n\nWe invite all instruments and levels of experience for community music making. Bring your own instruments\, including the voice. Percussion instruments and melodic instruments in harmony with themselves will be provided. They are in tune with each other so will always sound harmonious. \n \n\nParticipants will have the opportunity to experience a therapeutic harp soundbed group session. Relax on the table with 50 strings underneath for a vibrational treatment to harmonize the body\, mind\, spirit. DESCRIPTION:Participate in this Musical Spa Day for Sound Health. Music is nourishment for the soul. The studio is equipped with world instruments such as hand painted frame drums (painted by Lynn Miller) kalimbas\, our voice\, shruti box\, Tibetan sound bowls and xylophones. \nAll of these instruments are accessible to play\, even if you have never played an instrument before. Skills will be demonstrated on how to use these instruments therapeutically for self and others. It was chosen as a Unesco World Heritage site and was named the most beautiful city in the world in 2016. It is considered a very safe place to travel. \nJam Haven will be held at Casa Carly\, a lovely hotel comprised of seven separate casitas surrounding a courtyard and community activities room. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Soundbed is a wooden massage table with 50 strings underneath.\nAs one lays on the table and the strings are played\, vibrations come through the wood stimulating the cells in the body. This acoustical massage gives a harmonizing effect. The sound and vibration tunes the systems leaving a feeling of relaxation and regeneration. \nIn this Harmonic Circle\, the Soundbed will be accompanied by the  Kanteles\, a Finnish folk zither\, which had an important place in sacred ceremonies and healing rituals. \nKanteles \n  \nIndividuals will have the opportunity to:\nEXPERIENCE a Soundbed treatment   * PLAY the Soundbed \n    Skills will be demonstrated on playing the Soundbed\, Kanteles and other sound tools.\n \nWe will focus on Deep Listening\, Trusting Intuition and Giving and Receiving. \nNo experience is necessary to attend this workshop. \nThe event is limited to 10 participants. \nSuggested reading: SpiritArts\, Transformation through Creating Art\, Music and Dance \n

Although growing up differently\, they are on parallel paths as Vocal Sound Healers. \nWe will use our voices to cultivate personal power and express our inner music. This is done through vocal improvisation. Improvisation is a Mindfullness approach which develops creativity\, spontaneity\, connectivity and self-expression. Toning and chants will also be utilized for connection with self\, others and the Divine.
