Music for People Satellite: Improvisation Camp

.89.Eric and Lynn Miller welcome you to their studios, accompanied by Ron Kravitz.
Saturday 10-4pm,Eric invites you to his new 3,000 square foot Arts and Badminton facility, Smashville with plenty of room for music & movement including a celebration Sat night! Develop improvisation skills through Music for People forms (lots of playing!). We will focus on drumming, singing and melodic music making. There will also be a recording component!
(5-9pm) celebration The local community is invited to join 
us for a potluck, music making, dance and badminton playing party. You can perform Open Mic style on the stage, dance, socialize, jam in the back rooms, eat and play badminton!

The topic will be music and well being. Deep listening, being present and stepping out of the way so the muse can come through are steps in both soundhealing and improvisational music making. Participants will experience Lynn’s sound-bed (massage table with 50 strings underneath), used for vibrational treatments. Soundhealing techniques will be explored through voice, instruments and other vibrational tools such as Tibetan bowls.

Ron Kravitz (percussion), Lynn Miller (guitar, vocals) and Eric Miller (mandolin) have been involved with Music for People for over 20 years. Each one shares their expertise through a fun, exploratory approach to improvisational music making. (Music for People invites all instruments, styles and levels of experience.)
